Doctoral Degrees
Godman Soteria Academy of Theology have two categories of Doctoral Degree awards:
Godman Soteria Academy of Theology does not sell its Professional Doctoral Degrees; however, we accept donation from Awardees. All Professional Doctoral Degrees are awarded solely for the accomplishments and contributions that a person has made in all areas of Christian Ministries. We award Professional Doctoral degrees not "Honorary Doctoral Degrees".
We call it professional Doctoral awards because of the research awardees will submit to our Institution. This is just a step away from Academic awards. Our understanding of 2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Our school policy recognizes and give Professional Doctoral Degrees to Ministers of God based on their wealth of practical experiences and contributions to the growth of the body of Christ through their regular preaching and teachings without the normal academic rigors.
Based on the type of professional doctorate degree being awarded, the school committee forms a selection panel to review nominations.
Candidates typically must submit a letter of application addressed to ‘’The Dean School of Postgraduate Studies, with CV attached in PDF format to admissions@godmansotera.academy And registrar@godmansotera.academy
REQUIREMENTS
The Applicant should meet the following Criteria:
• Must not be less than 40 years’ old
• Must have at least 15 years of Ministry experience
The following documents should be submitted for evaluation:
1. List your qualifications and why you believe you or the candidate should receive the Professional Doctorate, in two pages,
2. Copies of your degrees, certificates. Licenses and other documentation
3. 1 recent passport photograph (Scan with your CV)
4. Your detailed resume/ CV with your profile.
5. References / Endorsements of three Ordained Ministers or prominent church leaders
RESEARCH PAPER AND SEMINAR
1. All awardees must submit 120-page essay / research paper on any issue that relates with your experiences over the years of your work and walk in ministry and areas of competence that could be of various benefits to in coming new generation of Christian scholars in our Academy.
2. International awardees are exempted from the seminar because of the distance. However, you must also submit your research write up of at least 120pages or more in PDF format which would be published in your name in the school.
The approval page of your research would be signed by the faculty and sent to you with your certificate.
3. Your research could be on any topic in any area of your interest in ministry

– You may also select your own topic but it must be approved by the Faculty.
Your research shall be one of the research reference materials for all the students in our school and the students will benefit from your distinguished practical performance experiences.
All our awardees are always accorded due honor and respect. That is why we do not classify their certificates Honorary. The award is just a step away from Academic awards

GODMAN SOTERIA ACADEMY OF THEOLOGY’s major educational aim is to provide courses of study and research of high standing from certificate to higher degrees. GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- A written evidence of your convert experience and calling by God into ministry not more than 1500 words of 1.5 line spacing
- Evidence of your ability to read and write in English Language or French Language
ASSOCIATE DEGREE COURSES
- The same as I & II above
- Certificate in theology or any Christian ministry courses with transcripts
BACHELOR DEGREES
- Associate Degree in Theology or any Christian ministry courses from a recognized Christian theological school with transcripts.
POSTGRADUATE DEGREES
– MASTERS
- Bachelor Degree in Theology or in any Christian ministry courses from a recognized Christian theological school with transcripts.
DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY [PhD]
The applicant must hold a MA or MD degree from an academic institution for church leadership and development, or in one of the following disciplines: Theology, Christian Education, Church History, Biblical Studies, or Missions with 4.1GPA.

- To help meet the needs of individuals who are not able to come to campus, Godman Soteria Academy of Theology brings people together in innovative learning environments in online coursework.
- The faculty of the Godman Soteria Academy of Theology has designed a course of study which provides students with an integrated approach to theological studies. The minister must “know, be, and do,” — that is, he or she must know the story of the faith, must live the story of the faith, and must have skills to perform certain functions as a minister of the faith. The courses integrate the academic, the spiritual, and the practical at three levels.
Firstly, the curriculum of the Godman Soteria Academy of Theology is fully integrated around the concepts of “knowing,” “being,” and “doing.” The curriculum provides every student with the essential knowledge for ministry by including courses in the classical disciplines of Old Testament, New Testament, Preaching, Evangelism, Church History, Theology, and Human Development. It also provides every student with opportunities for personal spiritual formation and development as well as practical experience in her or his chosen field of ministry with a trained mentor.
Secondly, each course of the Godman Soteria Academy of Theology integrates other disciplines into its instruction. For example, students in the Old Testament course study not only the content of the Old Testament, Old Testament theology, preaching and teaching from the Old Testament, the Old Testament throughout Church History, and using the Old Testament in evangelism. Students in the Preaching course study cultural contexts of preaching; preaching as priest, physician, teacher, and evangelist; pastoral and ethical issues of preaching; and preaching the forms of scripture such as narrative, poetry, doctrine, and instruction, all in a single course.
